Opening a bar’s menu sets no cookie and creates no account. Slider positions live in your own browser’s sessionStorage and are gone when the tab closes.
We count things, not people: how many times a menu was opened today, which sliders were moved, which drinks were tapped. Each of those is a number in a row that says this venue, this day, this many. There is no identifier attached, so there is nothing to link back to a person and nothing to hand over if someone asks.
Under GDPR that means guest use of Cocktailor does not process personal data at all.
An account holds an email address, a hashed password, the venue’s details and the drinks you type in. That is personal data and you can have it deleted at any time by asking — the account, the menu, the photographs, all of it.
Uploaded photos are re-encoded on arrival, which strips the EXIF block — including the GPS coordinates most phones write into it. We keep your original so you can always go back to it.
Servers and backups in the EU. Payments through Stripe, who see the billing details and we do not. Web fonts are served from Bunny Fonts, which sets no cookies and logs no visitor IPs.
No advertising network, no analytics product, no tracking pixel, no social embeds. If a bar turns on AI slider suggestions, the drink’s name and ingredients are sent to the model provider named in that bar’s configuration. Nothing about a guest is ever sent anywhere.
